Recreational Mathematics

This course will focus on what can be learned about math from games, puzzles and exploratory activities.
At the same time, participants will be encouraged to develop their perspective on the creativity and usefulness of Math, as part of a broadened understanding of its essence.
If you enjoy tackling Sudoku, you may like to see the links with good experimental design !

Prior knowledge/experience : None required.

N.B. Participants will need to bring a pen/pencil and paper - and a basic calculator for some activities. There will be no session in July.

Venue : Airlie Bank - Room 3

Day: First Thursday of the month.

Time : 10.00 am - 11.30 am.

Start : 7th March - 2019.

Finish: 7th November - 2019.
